Over the last 8 years, since the inception of StringCan Interactive, the company has had a few location changes. Like most companies you outgrow a space, or need to service a new area, and you find a place and move in. In 2016 StringCan had big growth plans in store for the upcoming years, and we began the search for a space. I worked with some of the best commercial real estate companies in the Valley. Lee & Associates worked tirelessly and patiently for months trying to check all of our boxes. From locations and proximity to employee’s homes, to ambiance, and of course - cost just to name a few. Finding a few places that fit some, but not all of our discerning criteria, we finally had to call it a day. We decided to stay in the current office and started planning a reconfiguration… until fortune found us.
Isn’t that always the case? As soon as you live and let live, things magically fall into place. I can say that in retrospect, but the months to follow were some of the most grueling and rewarding of my career, and my life.
In September 2017 our amazing landlord Tom Frenkel of Clayton Companies just happened to have a slice of brand new commercial property under construction that seemed to be a perfect fit for us. Over the next 3 months we worked hand in hand with the awesome subcontractors and partners - taking the office from bare concrete and steel framing, to the glorious masterpiece it is today. Handling a construction project was in my blood having grown up in the field and my first job was in fact with a general contractor. This valuable background, coupled with the visions of our inventive CEO Jay Feitlinger and amazing StringFam team made this construction project one that we are all proud of. Taking part in the design and development of our new space was definitely an unplanned team building exercise that gave everyone a sense of ownership and pride.
We showed off our brand new space in grand fashion on February 15, 2018, just shy of 3 months after moving in, to our clients, friends, family and partners. Check out some of the photos below and let us know what you think! And if you’re reading this, you’re ALWAYS welcome to stop by for a visit and a glass of champagne (or margarita-you know who you are!).
