This month we took some time to give back to our community by volunteering at Lost Our Home Pet Rescue, a no-kill animal shelter located in Tempe, Arizona. They help people in crisis care for their pets, rescue abandoned pets, provide temporary housing for pets, help owner-surrened pets, offer low-income boarding and provide medical care, shelter and food while to trying to find pets a loving home.
It's important for us to take some time and lend a helping hand to support our community. And when we heard we get to spend the day playing with animals...sign us up! We're all big animal lovers, many with our own fur family. We were happy to help any way we could! It was an incredily rewarding exerpereience for us all.
Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is the only organization in the Phoenix Valley focused on helping both pets and people in crisis. It was founded in 2008 as a grassroots response to the housing crisis that left thousands of people and their pets without a home.
Through the Home at Last Campaign, they have a goal by May, 2018 to feed 30,000+ pets, help 2,600+ pets return to their families following a crisis and place 9,000+ homeless pets in safe and loving homes. If you want to find out how you can help, visit their site to learn more.
